Getting pregnancy after MMC with Surgical Management

Hello,

4 weeks ago I had surgical management for a MMC. I have just got my first period today and just wondered how long it took others to conceive afterwards?

I want to stay positive but also want to prepare myself that this could be a long road.

Thank you

Sorry for your loss. I had MMC which needed a D&C.

I never had a period before getting pregnant.

Procedure in Aug, baby girl was born the following June.

I hope you have as good luck.

I don't have a positive outcome yet (long winded and very unlikely scenario so don't judge the outcomes) but 4 missed miscarriages and 4 surgeries, after each it took:
6 months
9 months
6 months
3 months
To get pregnant again.

I’m sorry for your loss 🖤

I had a mmc in February and had surgical management for it, it’s taken us from February until last week to get our bfp and conceive. So all in all 8 ish months? X

I’m sorry for your loss, I know it’s so difficult 💔

First pregnancy: From my first MMC to my healthy pregnancy it took 2.5 years to conceive.

Second pregnancy: Conceived without trying once my period returned (took a while for my period to be back due to breastfeeding) but this ended in another MMC.

Third pregnancy: Conceived my first proper cycle back (again cycle took a while even after MMC due to still breastfeeding I think my body thought I’d just had a baby) and I’m 5 weeks pregnant now and hoping/praying this one is successful!

It’s so unpredictable but the majority of women conceive quickly after being pregnant. With my first MMC I was in forums for people who had loss at the same time I did and every one else conceived very shortly after. I was the last one by the 2.5 years who hadn’t, so it will likely take you less! Apparently you’re more fertile in the months after a pregnancy/miscarriage.

Sending baby dust ❤️

So sorry for your loss. My period came 7 weeks after my surgery, and I conceived that cycle x

My period came back after 4 weeks to the day. We chose to have three months off as we were going on holiday but conceived the first month of trying again x

I’m sorry for your loss OP. I conceived again immediately after I went through this, to the extent that I didn’t have a period in between. I think there is colloquial evidence to say a lot of women are very fertile immediately following a MC. I went on to have a healthy baby.
