On Monday I had to go to the EPAC after discovering I had lost my baby on Friday to a missed miscarriage at 6 weeks. They talked me through my options and they said I can either wait and see if things progress naturally or offered me the tablet and pessary. They said that I wouldn’t be offered surgery as the baby has shrunk even more in size and is so small.

It’s already been roughly almost two weeks since baby’s heartbeat would have stopped and still my body hasn’t recognised this so Ideally I didn’t want to wait any longer so I just wondered if anyone could offer any advice with this?

Im terrified to be honest about having to have medical intervention but the waiting and the wondering is so hard also.

So sorry you’re experiencing this 💔 the same thing exactly happened to me. I didn’t want to wait for natural as I wanted closure, it had already been weeks of to and fro, so I opted for pessary and was happy with my choice. I hope it all goes ok for you x

@ennaawhat was the process like if you don’t mind me asking?
I had my first appointment yesterday where I had the tablet but I go back tomorrow to have the pessaries inserted and I’ve been told I have to wait for a few hours in the hospital so they can keep an eye on things and check to see if they’re working. I’m absolutely terrified x
