7 + 6 no fetal pole… 8 + 1 a small fetal pole… IVF pregnancy

I had mild ivf for my pregnancy and went to my first scan on Tuesday to be told there was a yolk sack but no fetal pole. I was referred to the early pregnancy clinic where today I had another scan (internal and external) and they found a fetal pole measuring what they believe to be 6.5 weeks - we were so shocked we didn’t take it all in and now need to wait until next Friday to see if our pregnancy is viable. They also haven’t seen any heartbeat as yet but I understand that it being so small might be the reason for that.

has anyone ever experienced anything similar? Is it possible they measured wrong? Could it be hiding?
we had our 5 day transfer on 19th May and had a positive test on the 28th may

are we just clutching at straws here for the inevitable bad news or is there actually a chance?
We’ve had no bleeding but I’m on progesterone pessaries so don’t think that would happen until I stopped them

Pretty common they shock the lives out of some parents and sadly because of this I've had a few in my clinic who have had a termination based on the scan and found a tiny baby did abort and the scan never picked up it's heartbeat, shape etc. Its extremely common so ask for as many opinions and scans as your allowed. Also from a personal point I was told twin 1 was no longer alive, it took a scan at 3 months to confirm this was totally wrong and she was right under my ribs and fine as anything. I had weekly scans after that but if I had followed advice she wouldn't be here my now 2 happy healthy girls

Please can you tell me more about the few in your clinic that had terminations based on the scan, being terrified etc? I had an experience like this.
