Medical management of MMC

Hey me again, I’m currently 9 weeks baby stopped growing at 5.5 weeks, my body is showing no signs of things happening despite some spotting a few days ago, scan showed today everything is still inside and cervix is closed. I’m going into hospital tomorrow to have the pessary inserted, then they will send me home after 30 mins.
im quite scared as I have experienced a mmc before with tablets taken at home where I bled out and went into shock. The blood was pouring out me. Absolutely terrified same will happen again, is it normal for the hospital to send you home 30 mins after inserting tablets ?

When I had mine they told me I needed to be admitted because of the sac size, so can’t really answer that but 1) the leaflet they gave me said I should stay lying down for an entire hour after the pessaries so they’d stay close enough to my cervix to work and 2) they may do something else if you explain how scared you are, or at least reassure you?

You need to make sure they’re aware of both your history and your feelings about it. I’m sorry this is happening.
