Fertility blood tests after chemical pregnancy/loss - how soon?

Current waiting to bleed following a chemical pregnancy. I’m 4w5d so v early. Gutted as this is the first time we’ve ever had a positive test.
Was due to start fertility investigations and my gp has suggested blood tests, day 3 and day 21, but I couldn’t work out when this should be. Assume day 3 of the post chemical bleed will be hard to work out and possibly hormones wonky, so should this be day 3 of my next cycle (proper period after chemical bleed), but guess I could do day 21 this cycle if I can work out when I ovulate? (I did ask GP but don’t think my question was understood!)

Muddysocks1 So sorry to hear about your loss. I have had 2 chemicals and an MMC, although the MMC came first.
Personally, I would actually wait until your next cycle after your chemical bleed as there may be hormones, etc, in your system which make test results inaccurate. I do know it is very hard to wait though.
Not sure how long you have been trying but you will likely know that chemicals are incredibly common. You may find that you fall pregnant again relatively quickly and hopefully it will be successful but with the testing I would definitely wait. It may be that your new cycle starts on time, roughly when you expect it too but it may be a little delayed as tge pregnancy hormones leave and your body rebalances itself x

Thank you that’s really helpful. I’m hoping i might be lucky again this cycle, but if not you’re right it makes sense to test after the next proper period. Thank you xx
