No ovulation after chemical pregnancy

Note sure what I am asking really but just need to write my concerns down somewhere!

I had a chemical pregnancy on 3 February and only bled for 4 days. I was 5 weeks 1 day pregnant. My cycles seem to be long anyway (around 35 to 37 days and usually ovulate around day 22/24). Realistically, I’ve only had a few cycles since coming off the pill in September last year and I was on the pill for many years (I went on the pill when 17 and came off when 32) so it’s hard to say what my cycles actually are but based on the handful I have had that seems to be the pattern.

Its now been 6 and a half weeks since the CP and still no sign of ovulation(I track bbt and use opks)

My bbt is up and down so no pattern at all so no idea if ovulation is in sight. No peak on an opk.

Im definitely not pregnant (done tests) and I couldn’t be anyway as I know I haven’t ovulated.

A lot of what I am reading people seem to have ovulated within a couple of weeks of a CP and stuff online seems to suggest a lot of people are at their most fertile post miscarriage / cp but seems to be the opposite for me.

not sure what I am asking as suspect the answer is just wait for period which should come eventually but the wait is making me question everything and just wondering if anyone is in the same boat? All of my friends got pregnant within 1-2 months and no pregnancy losses so feel alone.

I had delayed ovulation after my chemical pregnancy, I had two bouts of bleeding 11 days apart and ovulated 3 weeks after the second one. I'm prone to short cycles so I was a bit thrown by it. Like you I had read about increased fertility and had my hopes up, but the whole cycle was a bit weird and off pattern for me so wasnt really surprised not to get pregnant. I had loads of EWCM for over a week before ovulating, but had a clear temp rise and positive opk when I did ovulate. Next cycle was back to normal pattern and I did actually fall pregnant in that one - first natural pregnancy in four years so maybe there is something to it!

Wishing you the best of luck, it's a hard time and can feel very lonely xxx

Thanks so much for the reply. I appreciate hearing your experience and congratulations on falling pregnant. Think I just need to wait this out and stop being impatient! 😂

Just thought I’d do a bump on this thread as I’m now 10 weeks post chemical and still no period or ovulation. Im definitely not pregnant. Done lots of tests. Dr has said they will test me for thyroid issues in 2 weeks if I haven’t had anything after 12 weeks.

just so frustrating as everything I see online says how fertile you are in the three months after a chemical or miscarriage whereas I am the opposite and not fertile at all.

wondering if that chemical was my only chance and just feeling despondent
