MC last month, now think I’m having a chemical :( fading test lines

Hi
Last month I sadly had a miscarriage. I was very early on and was told it was safe to start trying again when the bleeding stopped, which we did.

My period is due today. No bleeding so far. On Thursday I did a clear & simple early response pregnancy test, it had a faint + line which appeared outside of the time window. I know this shouldn’t be read but the same happened with these tests last month (other tests confirmed it was a pregnancy. And with my son who is 8mo they also did the same)
. Thursday, I did another same brand test, there’s an even fainter line.

(photo attached of Thursdays test - it does have slight colour - camera isn’t picking it up)Today, it was completely negative. I also did a clear blue yesterday which was negative.

im wondering how likely it is that the 2 tests with faint lines were evaporation lines, or like the tests I’ve done in the past when I was pregnant, are actually positive, and this is a chemical pregnancy? Surely if they were Evaps, the one today would have done the same…

sorry if I’m rambling or not making sense. I’d rather know, but the thought of having a chemical the cycle straight after a miscarriage is heartbreaking for me.

thank you xx

Hi stardust I'm sorry for your loss, I didn't want to read and not reply.
I've just had a chemical ( this has sadly followed a first trimester and second trimester miscarriage last year).
For me I had clear positives and a digital. I was taking progesterone so I think that masked my bleeding, but I took a test a week later ( yesterday) and was a stark negative so have stopped progesterone and will wait to bleed.
I would imagine it would be a fairly obvious line as it rises and then leaves.
Could the faint line been residual hormones from your miscarriage last month? I tested positive for a few weeks after my miscarriages

Thanks so much for replying and im so sorry for your losses. Sadly this was another early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy. Have you been referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic? If not it’s worth getting a referral through your GP as you’d fit the criteria for referral.

I tested negative between this failed pregnancy and the miscarriage last month. I did ask my doctor about progesterone but she said she couldn’t prescribe it and would have to go through the miscarriage clinic but our appt is in august 😣 so I’ve decided il take baby aspirin myself with the hope it will help xx

@Stardust127 I was already on progesterone and aspirin due to my two first trimester losses pre losing my daughter at 16 weeks, and so started it again this time. After losing my daughter ( that was the 3rd loss) I was seen in recurrent miscarriage clinic and had all the testing and nothing was discovered so it really just came down to trying again but with aspirin and progesterone from a positive test and clexane from a scan. But unfortunately not the case this time. Still waiting to bleed ( only had spotting) as the progesterone has masked that!

It's awful and so scary and anxiety inducing. If you go via EPU in another pregnancy they should prescribe progesterone as I was on it via them before I was under recurrent miscarriage clinic. There's guidance via Tommy's you can show GP that recommends the use if 1 or more miscarriages and spotting in a subsequent pregnancy.
