Chemical pregnancies after MMC (blighted ovum)

I had a miscarriage in the summer, had an MVA under local which resulted in retained products, ended up having a D&C in September and got a negative pregnancy test at the end of Sept.

Since then I've had a faint positive in November and December but have then gone on to have my period.

Has anyone had similar and had any tests done by GP that have been helpful to show what's going on? Or is it a case of just wait and see and hope body recovers with time?

Thank you!

Just seen your post.
Yes I had a blighted ovum and then a CP - very similar timelines.
Saw a private fertility doc 2 weeks ago and said it is like a) bad luck - particularly due to being 35 as apparently 30-40% of eggs may be poor quality so it is bad luck 2 of those were fertilised. This means it's bad luck but not necessarily anything you wouldn't expect ie not an underlying issue.
B) underlying problem
However at this stage eering on bad luck side of things currently and trying again. I guess if I had another I'd want investigations.

If you have had 3 you'll qualify for referral on nhs I assume?

Me, MMC followed by two Chemicals so far. Private tests show high NK cells so steroids for me next time :(

Sorry for your losses@NeatOtter, yes I've been referred to a clinic but appointment not until May. Had a private scan this week and that showed my lining wasn't particularly thick, 6.7mm at 7dpo and there was a small calcified area which they thought was a scar from the D&c and shouldn't cause any issues but hard to not get paranoid that there's something else going on. I've read a lot about chronic endometrisis...
It's so hard to know if:

  1. My body just needs a bit more time to recover
  2. It's bad luck
  3. Something else is going on....I think cause I've got pregnant very quickly 2 it feels random that since the D&C's I've now had chemical pregnancies but maybe it is just bad luck...

Really hope you make some progress and things work out well for you ❤️

@Objectiontime , so sorry for your losses. I guess positive to know what might have been causing them so hopefully next time is different. How did you find that out?

I suspected I had immune issues, long story so although i am in the waiting list with NGS i went to a private immune specialist to get tested x

I'm so sorry you've had to go through this too. It's so rough 💔 hope you're ok. I just had a private ultrasound and have an appointment this coming week with a gynaecologist to try and understand if there's anything going on that we should be looking into.
