6week scan yesterday and saw heartbeat, but heavy bleeding 24hrs later

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences. I had a 6 week scan yesterday following my 4th round of IVF. I had small bleeding last weekend on wiping so wanted to get checked out and I have had 3 consecutive miscarriages previously.
The scan yesterday showed a heartbeat. But 24hrs later I have started to bleed heavily and passed quite a lot of small clots. Is this normal; or is this likely to be a miscarriage?

I had similar and it turned out I miscarried a twin (the other twin survived). My mum bled when pregnant until 6 months and had no idea she was pregnant and I was born at 9+ months. I would call doctor when you can and say what has happened. Or if you can, get a private scan booked. Hope all goes well for you, I found pregnancy stressful with not knowing and feeling on edge after such bleeds.

Hello, I'm no expert on this sorry. But when I was bleeding I read a lot of threads. Sometimes you can have a friable cervix, which means it's crumbly and can bleed very easily. It could be that your cervix was agitated from the transvaginal scan? I hope it's a good outcome for you x
