How long did your periods take to come back after miscarriage?

Hi, Ive just had my second back to back miscarriage. This time round being a MMC, I miscarried the baby on 31st July naturally, stopped bleeding 13th August and had a negative pregnancy test 19th August (to check if my hgc had gone down, after MMC). However I still have no signs or symptoms of my period yet. Did have some brownish spotting last week that lasted 2 days, very light thought it might be my period starting but it wasn’t - had no spotting or bleeding since. So I’m very confused atm.

My first miscarriage my period returned within 4 weeks this time I’m sat waiting for it and it doesn’t seem to be starting. Does anyone know how long it took them to have their first period after a MMC?

For reference I was supposed to be 10 weeks when I found out about MMC and baby was only measuring at 7+2. Also does anyone have any positive stories on taking aspirin to help maybe prevent 3rd miscarriage from happening? I’m thinking of trying aspirin next time round as it could be worth a shot.

Any information will be much appreciated.

Hi, I have also had 2 miscarriages (both MMC). The first was managed with surgery and my period came back exactly 4 weeks later. The 2nd passed naturally and I didn't get my period back until 6 weeks after I started bleeding or 4 weeks after I stopped bleeding. My periods have also been slightly more irregular and I've had bleeding after sex since my natural miscarriage. I think it just takes a little longer for the body to recover!
Have you done another pregnancy test to rule that out?

I've also been interested in the use of low dose aspirin for the next time around! I've not got past 6wks in both my pregnancies so wondering if it might help as I have read some positives from it on here!

So sorry to hear you’ve had 2 miscarriages like myself, it’s honestly a horrible thing to go through. And I’m kind of thinking it might be like you said about periods becoming irregular after MMC, and having spotting after sex - as that makes so much sense in my situation right now. but I will do another test just to rule that out. As for the aspirin I’ve seen loads of success stories on here too, I am definitely going to give it try next time round and fingers crossed it works - as I’m pretty similar to you, I can’t seem to get passed 7ish weeks. So the aspirin is 100% worth the try. My midwife did prescribe it to me with my last pregnancy but it was too late by the time she had, the next day I’d paid for a private scan and there was no longer a heartbeat, so I do often wonder if I’d known about it sooner, would it of helped. I hope you get your double rainbow baby next time round!!! And thank you so much for replying back to me.

Hi ladies, ive had an MMC and a Chemical and have started taking low dose aspirin now. I have done a lot of research and honestly feel that it is absolutely worth a try. I didnt really want to be taking something that is actually a medicine, alongside all my vitamins but it took me several months to conceive again after my MMC and when it turned Chemical I just thought I would bite the bullet and give it a go. I would hate to lose another pregnancy and not have tried x

I’ve also been researching the low dose aspirin. Do you take one 75mg once a day?
