Second set of medication for medical management

I had a missed miscarriage and was given the first medication for medical management yesterday. They said nothing would happen until I took the second set of medication which is due tomorrow morning.

A few hours after I took the first medication, the entire intact sac was painfully delivered. Since then, I've had minimal pain and bleeding, which I'm attributing to the large amount of blood loss before I was given the first medication.

I want to know if I have to take the second set of medication given the entire sac is already out. I've tried calling hospital multiple times and left messages but nobody has got back to me. Do I need to take the medication still?

So sorry to hear you’re going through this. I would say you’d still need to take it as instructed, but if you ring in the morning hopefully someone should answer.
Take care and all the best x

Thank you, I've left another message so will see if I can get hold of them first thing.

Definitely take what you’ve been given, you may have passed the sac but there may be remaining tissue to pass, I’d definitely take as instructed, sorry for your loss x

Just in case anyone in future has this query, the hospital called back and said that I did not need to take the remaining medication as long as I was certain the entire sac was out.
