Recent miscarriage and worried about new 7 week pregnancy

Hi, first post here and looking for some other experiences. From what I have read each experience can be so opposite but I guess I am looking for reassurance about each possibility.

I had MMC in March at 9/10 weeks pregnancy. I conceived again in June and went for an early pregnancy scan last Sunday when I believed I was 7.5 weeks.

Private scan showed yolk sac but no fetal pole or heartbeat. MW said not to worry too much as the measurements were showing pregnancy at 6.2 weeks and it could be that the fetal pole hasn’t developed yet/isn’t picked up on scan (although I had both types) but referred to hospital.

it didn’t make sense to me to be only 6 weeks as I was exact on dates and tracking but she did say after MC dates can be out.

Hospital scanned last Tuesday saw yolk sack and 3.9mm fetal pole no heartbeat. They said I am measuring 5w6d-6 weeks they can’t be sure either way but I am almost certain this will be another MC.

previous pregnancy showed HB at 6.5 weeks.

I have a follow up scan on Tuesday. My partner is away so can’t attend with me, so I am feeling worried about outcome and have prepared myself for the worst.

has anyone had a similar experience to this?

Hi OP, I'm so sorry you're in this position, and really sorry for your earlier loss.

I'm going to be honest, it doesn't sound great. If you're confident about your dates, having no heartbeat at 7 weeks leaves only a small chance of viability. No heartbeat at almost 8 weeks on Tuesday leaves no chance of viability.

No growth between the scans isn't great either (although that could be measuring error with only two days between them). If your initial scan dated you correctly, it's not great, but not disastrous, that you still haven't seen a heartbeat by 6 weeks 4 days.

It could be fine, if you are wrong about dates, and the private scan measured you correctly, however I would be preparing for the worst - is there anyone else you can bring to the scan with you?
