Hi Ele08 I've got past my first due date (mid Feb) and now have to go through another one on 5/8/08. I had a natural mc in July07 and then a mmc at 11+wks in Jan 08 (baby died at 9wks). I was hanging out my washing and heard my neighbours newborn crying and had a biting my lip moment tonight . There seems to be a definate baby boom around me at the moment and to have to go through a due date without a baby arriving twice is horrible but I think what's keeping me going is the thought that there was nothing that could've prevented it from happening and sadly for whatever reason it was not meant to be. I'm trying so hard to keep strong and focus on the future / appreciate what's good in my life but it gets exhausting and there's hardly anyone in real life who really understands. Talking to people on here makes me realise there's so many of us feeling down but we'll get through it and hopefully there'll be happier times ahead.

Just wanted to send you a big hug Ele08.

Time does heal but you never forget. I have 2 x DS's now but lost my 1st pg at 20wks. There isn't a day that I don't think about my 1st DS and there isn't a day when I don't look at 2 I have with me and appreciate how lucky I am to have them. Even on bad days I appreciate them.

I lost him on 11th July 01. The date is always the hardest day for me.

It was hard. I took the day off work and got drunk with a mate. Visiting my BF in hospital was hard, her DS was born 10 days before my due date. It did get easier though xxx

Just sending xxxx to you all.

Mine has not long been and gone from my 4th successive miscarriage I have no clue why but it hit me harder than ever before this time around. I felt really down for at least a month and still have days when I find I just have to cry. I think it is because similarly to scotlass, there are quite a few of my friends and family members who have just had babies or are expecting. I find it really difficult to deal with it when they announce their pregnancies. Luckily I have dd(8) and she is what keeps me going along with the hope that we will eventually have a little brother or sister for her.
