Different causes of different types of miscarriage?

I know the doctors say it was most likely chromosomal, etc...but I'm just wondering if there are different causes for different types of micarriages.

I had started to spot at about 11 weeks, had a scan and the fetus measured 7 weeks.

Am I right in guessing since it was a missed miscarriage, it would've had nothing to do with my progesterone levels? I have a short LP and it's always kind of bothered me, but isn't a short LP more likely to result in a chemical/very early miscarriage?

Hi, not sure the answer to that but I think if you see a fetus and heart beat it is supposed to be different to it just never really developing but not sure what the causes are meant to be. I've had 2 where heartbeat was seen andthen one was a missed mc and the other naturally mc. Also had another 2 that were blighted ovum (missed mc) and natural mc prior to any scans so for me they have all been quite different. Sorry but dont really know about the different phases but sure someone will come along who does.
