Period has disappeared after chemical pregnancy!

Hi everyone
As the title suggests my periods have completely disappeared after a chemical pregnancy.

Some context: At the end of April I had a chemical pregnancy. I had tested positive at around 11dpo but then the tests never progressed and 2 days after my expected period, I started bleeding. At the time, most people advised to count the start of the bleeding as CD1 and that periods would return as normal (or maybe slightly late). So I was quite hopeful that we could get back on track and try again quickly. However it’s now been 10 weeks since day one of the bleeding and even though the bleeding stopped after a few days, I’ve not had a period since. I’ve got no clue what’s going on with my cycle and I can’t find anyone with a similar experience after a chemical pregnancy. My cycles weren’t perfect before this happened as I’d been on contraception for a number of years but were starting to get a bit more regular. Now I feel even more lost. I have docs appointment on Wednesday but I guess I’m just looking for some similar experiences or reassurance that this doesn’t mean doom and gloom for my chances of conceiving.

Sorry to hear you’re going through this, after my first miscarriage I ended up needing surgery for retained products which delayed things then period took 8 weeks to return, and when I first came off the pill it took 6 months(!) for my periods to return, so I can understand how stressed this must be making you, unfortunately our hormones can just be a bit all over the place after big changes. I’m glad you have an appointment though and hope they offer help and reassurance x
