Chemical pregnancy - how long for bleeding to start

Hi, I am currently experiencing what I believe to be a chemical pregnancy. Tested positive at 14dpo but lines were very faint, next morning got 1-2 weeks on clear blue digital and more of an obvious line on another test but tested this morning at 17dpo and the lines on both internet cheapies and clear blue early detection are pretty much disappearing and very faint. Clear blue still showing 1-2 weeks but I'm not holding out much hope and believe this to be a chemical. I'm just wondering how long it roughly took from tests fading and turning back negative for bleeding to start? TIA

Sorry you are going through this. Mine was clear positive two days running, stark white the next, it didnt fade, it just went. Bleeding started the following day.

Hi OP sorry you’re experiencing this.

I’ve had 7 of these now and each slightly different, but generally bleed starts quite quickly after fading tests, my longest was 4 or 5 days waiting for it to start

Be kind to yourself

Thank you both for your replies and I'm sorry for your previous losses. It's so cruel isn't it to see the positive for it to just fade away. I suppose I'll just have to wait it out and hope it doesn't take too long for bleeding to start as I feel like I'm in limbo atm.

@Northernsoul90 hope you’re doing ok! I started spotting for a couple of days (brown and fairly light) and then I had a few wipes of fresh red and started bleeding that night. I did a test after the fresh red and it really light so I sort of knew it was coming!

most people bounce back super quick (my current cycle has just finished with 47 days 😂 but it was my first month ttc and first ever pregnancy so I don’t think my body really knew what to do with itself). Back to CD1 today though 🫶

Thank you for replying, I'm sorry you've been going through this too it's really rubbish. I had a MMC in 2020 at 9 weeks and my body took a really long time to recognise that I wasn't pregnant anymore and for the hormones to totally leave so I'm thinking this cycle might be super long too.

I tested yesterday and it was pretty much back to negative just a tiny hint of a line so I'm hoping to just start bleeding soon and move forward with a new cycle. I had my daughter in 2021 after the miscarriage and currently TTC number 2. Sending lots of luck to you for your new cycle
