Cystic Hygroma diagnosis

Hi, I’m writing this post as I’m hoping to hear other people’s experiences.

I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. I experienced a miscarriage at 10 weeks in January and was lucky enough to get pregnant a few months later. I booked in a private scan due to previous miscarriage and baby has been diagnosed with a cystic hygroma measuring 6.2mm at 10 weeks .

I have been referred to fetal medicine and have been offered a CVS to check for chromosomal/genetic problems. I had an ultrasound today and been advised that the hygroma has grown to 6.9mm but all other checks on baby are normal for now. Unfortunately, I was unable to have the procedure done today as the position of my placenta was in a place that was not accessible (posterior) and I have been advised to go back in 2 weeks to try again.

I’m writing this as I am so worried and can’t sleep thinking about all of the endless possibilities that it is making me ill. The baby has been given a 30% chance of survival currently and I’m just hoping for a miracle. Has anyone else been through a similar thing?
