History
Ectopic in August 2022
Complete Molar in December 2022
Chemical pregnancy December 2023
Chemical pregnancy March 2024

I am now pregnant again at 6+5
HCG was looking promising.
4+4 weeks hcg 4882
5+2 weeks hcg 23, 740
Looks like it's doubling perfectly fine. HOWEVER,
6+4 hcg dropped to 13,000 something

So I had a scan at 6+5. To doctors surprise scan looks normal. Had a yolk sac, had heart beat at 120. Wasnt quite measuring behind either. Doctor did not even mentioned anything about potential miscarriage.

I really do not know what is happening. Should I be happy that I finally saw a heartbeat after 4 losses. What is going on with the hcg drop? 😭 Is it maybe vanishing twin or a lab mistake.

I'm just annoyed that I've come this far after 4 losses but still have to worry and can't be happy.

Did you ask them at the scan? Probably more likely to get accurate info than on a public forum tbh. I'm assuming you have more blood tests and scans planned?

Doctor was happy with the scan, just said to ignore the hcg for now and we'll wait for the next scan in two weeks.

@FindingC well I would ignore the drop in HCG for now if the scan was looking promising. It is awful to not be able to fully enjoy pregnancy. Are you able to get another scan? Might help to put your mind at ease. Keeping everything crossed that this is your rainbow Hun. Look after yourself 💐 💐

Update : baby measured perfectly at 8+2 scan!
