Ovulation after chemical pregnancy

Hey! I had a chemical pregnancy earlier this month (started bleeding heavily on Monday 6th April) so using that as CD1…I’m now CD14 and I had EWCM and ovulation pains from CD9 but all opks (premom & Clearblue) are stark negative (would usually have had a positive by now)…the EWCM seems to have dried up now and temperature has gone up ever so slightly this morning. I’ve been opk testing twice, sometimes 3 times a day so wouldn’t have thought I could have missed the LH surge. Does this mean I’m not ovulating at all this cycle if no LH surge? Was really hoping I’d be one of those that got their rainbow the following month when you’re supposed to be more fertile 😔😔

@xxxgxxx Hi, I’ve just had a similar thing!

I had a MC at 6.5 weeks last month, got my first period start of May so have been tracking ovulation and I was getting negatives for ages expecting a surge around CD 11/12 as that’s what was always normal for me, had EWCM around days 9-11 too so expected it to happen… then finally got my surge at CD14 which was yesterday!
So could be the same for you, after these things happen your cycle will naturally be a tad ‘off’ as your body adjusts so you may find that it happens in the next couple days!

I also had a chemical back in 2022 at around 5 weeks then went on straight away to conceive my baby boy with an easy straight forward pregnancy… so sending you lots of love and baby dust for success this month. Hopefully we shall both fall pregnant!✨✨🙏🏻💕

@Mommabear96 thanks for your response and so sorry to hear about your MCs - I also had a MMC in October 2023 and no children yet 😢😢 CD15 and still no positive opk this morning…hoping it’s just late although have heard that late ovulation means the egg quality is worse! When did you ovulate after your first MC? Was it delayed then too? Lots of love & baby dust to you too 🤞🏽✨ xx

@xxxgxxx oh I haven’t heard that about egg quality and late ovulation 🤔
I’d keep tracking if I were you and DTD anyway, if you don’t ovulate in the next 5 days then maybe you aren’t ovulating this cycle so wait until after you’ve had a period and ovulation should resume then?
I’m not sure what CD I ovulated after my chemical because I wasn’t recording it properly but I think it was about a week after the chemical bleeding had stopped?…

I also had a CP and today is CD18 so I am one day behind you. My LH lines are fainter than the normal. It gets darker then fainter and repeats the same pattern. I still haven't had LH peak yet. Have you had LH peak yet?

Hey! Sorry for your CP 💛 I finally got a positive LH test on Wednesday which was CD17 if you count the first day bleeding heavily as CD1…CD18 if I count from the spotting which is a good 4-5 days later than I usually ovulate. Felt like it was taking forever and it is very frustrating as you just want your body to get back to normal asap don’t you! Keep testing and BDing I’m sure you’ll get your true peak - I’ve seen online lots of women do have delayed ovulation after. Fingers crossed this is the month for us both 🤞🏽🤞🏽 xx
