Hi everyone just wondering if you can advise ( appreciate everyone is different) when you ovulated for the first time post surgery? I'm two weeks post op and no ovulation so just looking to know if that has been anyone else's experience? my ovulation was bang on pre etopic :(

I’m so sorry for your loss. My ectopic and tube removal was a while ago, so I can’t specifically remember about the first cycle — but in the longer term it definitely settled back into the same pattern as before.

Hi @Livingonhope. Sorry you've been through this too. I am also two weeks (and three days) post op and have also been waiting on ovulation (I did get some CM on Saturday and resting heart rate was higher so unsure if that was it but just less obvious than usual). Like you, mine was bang-on pre-ectopic. I suppose it's also a waiting game now of when the first period will show up. How's your recovery going?

Whenever I had a loss (including my ectopics) ovulation was a couple of weeks delayed. It just took a little extra time for my body to realise I wasn't pregnant and to get going again. After the first cycle things were back to normal.

thanks for this do you remember how long it was before your first period? I am just so so scared my body won't ovulate now I know its melodramatic but the one thing getting me through was that we could try again soon and we'll if im not ovulating that won't happen :( can I also check did you end up conceiving? thank you x

It was years ago, but I think probably within about 6 weeks after the surgery. And yes, I got pregnant with a viable pregnancy 3 months later.

I just wanted to post an update here for anyone like me who came hunting for answers.

So I had my etopic pregnancy and left fallopian tube removed on 27th April

last Friday had detected estrogen rise but no lh surge however LH surge and peak came today one week later and just shy of three weeks after my operation

Two weeks to go and baby to baby making
