Hiya,
Hope someone can help/ advise me. I’ve just had a miscarriage at 9weeks and was told I wouldn’t need an anti D injection. It’s got thinking about my first pregnancy and whilst I had an anti D injection during my pregnancy as my DS had a positive blood type, I 100% wasn’t give one after his birth. Does this now mean I have been sensitised to the positive blood type and could be a reason I have had a miscarriage and/ or could cause difficulties having another baby??

I was told the same when I had a MC, I didn’t need Anti D under 12 weeks. Can you try and speak to GP or midwife about the impact if you did miss anti D before? No idea if it could cause MC

Hi all, has anyone declined the anti d injections, and been able to go on to have further pregnancies with no issues?

dementedpixie · 31/08/2024 16:23

Why would you decline?

Thunderpants88 · 31/08/2024 16:26

@dementedpixie I declined because my husband is RH- also

dementedpixie · 31/08/2024 16:31

@Thunderpants88 I understand why you would decline then.

@lolly132 is your dh rh- also or is there a different reason for not wanting it? Ultimately it's to protect your baby and any future babies you may have
