Oh that does sound grim. There just doesn't seem to be any thought at all put into how to look after women going through mc. I've had similar experiences with my mcs, ranging from thoughtless anaesthetists (sp?) to stroppy receptionists - all designed to make a horrible experience ten times worse.

Hope it all happens quickly for you.

Donbean - haven't met you on mn before, but just read your post and had to say how awful for you.

If you feel up to it, have you thought of making an official complaint?

Hope you have a peaceful evening x

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 27/03/2008 19:59

Not sure which of these is your vice, so have included both.

Huge Hugs to you and your DH.

donbean I'm so sorry it's been so awful. I know exactly how you feel about the hospital - I cringe when I think about it now, I'm so sick of having been there. I get so annoyed about the incompetence of the staff but then you see someone lovely and feel guilty for thinking that at all.

Take it easy and take care of yourself.

Really feel for you . I was in for a mmc recently and it felt like all discussion seemed to take place at top volume (why they think a curtain is sound-proof ) including the one about what I wanted done with anything removed. The nurses were very kind in all, but I just didn't need it on a general gynae ward.

And don't get me started about two pregnant ladies (both in for extreme morning sickness) and their conversation about how "it was a load of (insert word) about smoking in pregnancy stunting your baby, 'cos I smoked, like, all the way through my last and, like, my baby was over 8 pounds." Oh how I cried!

Hope you're feeling a bit better soon.
