Is 3 days of bleeding too little? Please help!

Mc at nearly 6 weeks, but was spotting since 5 and a half so pregnancy probably didn’t progress beyond the five week mark.

I started miscarrying on Thursday afternoon, heavy bright red bleeding with clots. I think I passed the tissue that same evening as there was something a bit purple/grey. Friday and Saturday I had very heavy bleeding and strong cramps. I have woken up this morning no longer have any pain and it seems to have tailed off to a normal period amount and is quite light.

Does that sound about right for how far along I was? Testing HCG and it’s fading on the strips, and all my symptoms have gone.

I just can’t find any info online as to how much bleeding is normal and everywhere says up to two weeks, but I know I was really early.

Thanks in advance

I had a mc at around 5 weeks and I bled for 6 weeks afterwards. The hospital also gave me a pamphlet that said bleeding should last about 2 weeks but I later heard that it can vary.

In my case the GP later said something probably got ‘stuck’ so I should have had some medical intervention but all was ok on the end. If you’re concerned do contact your GP but I’d say at the moment that all is normal.

Thank you. I just don’t know if I’m bleeding too little now, but it was very intense over that 48 hours.

Sending love first of all, so sorry you’re going through this. I miscarried recently at 6 weeks. Bleeding more like spotting, not needing a pad until the day the tissue passed also grey/purple, so sounds similar. I bled for about a week and a half, but again only on 2 days did I actually need to change a pad. I could’ve easily gotten away with not wearing one most days.

Also if in doubt I’d give EPU a call, or at least your GP for some advice. Not worth taking a risk on your health! Although know it’s horrific and you probably just want it over.

My experience is very similar I was 5 weeks and within 48 hours it had pretty much stopped. Sending love x
