Waiting to a see a yolk sac..anyone else?

Hi all,

I've had multiple losses including ectopics so I have to have early scans . From my experience having scans before 6 weeks just causes more anxiety so I try to avoid if I can.

Anyways when I was found out i was pregnant , I had a strong positive at 10dpo using first response. I called EPU so that I could be prescribed progesterone pessaries. Anyways when I gave them all my dates they were not happy with them and said I shouldn't be getting a positive at 3 weeks and 2 days plus my last missed miscarriage required 4 surgeries as i kept having retained products so my body is abit all over the place .

Soooo because of all my past experiences I was requested to go in for a scan at 4 weeks 3 days . Obviously being that early they couldn't see much but potentially a sac..had bloods taken and HCG and progesterone levels were really good.

I was requested to go back at 5 weeks which gestational sac was seen but no yolk sac, I'm not sure If I should be worried or not?

My next scan is on the 12th Jan. Is anyone else in a simular situation and want to join me with this horrible wait and keep each other company? 😊 x

Hi @Kirst318 how did your scan go? I am experiencing the same at the moment. Gestational sac but no yolk or fetal pole. Meant to be 6+3.

Hi ursula , how are you feeling ? Have they booked you in for a follow up scan ?

I've got my scan on Monday 12th 🤞 I've been feeling pretty sick lately so I'm hoping that's a positive sign. X

My scan is Tuesday 13th. I've been going out of my mind and really struggling to function. I hate not knowing. How have you been coping? Although I think it's probably more normal to see just gestational sac at 5 weeks than 6 weeks, which is what I was supposed to be. I've had to take the week off work.

Hope your scan goes OK today. I have mine tomorrow and the wait had been horrible.
