Help please - Infection after early miscarriage- what are the unobvious signs???

Had an early miscarriage 2 weeks ago now. Don't have any discharge or smells, but I am having regular 'twinges' /cramps. They are not mega-painful (well, normal period pains I suppose, less painful than the cramps I had with the miscarriage) but they are definitely there. They do feel in slightly a different place to normal cramps... sort of in front???

Is it just body going back to normal?

FWIW I do seem to be ovulating at present (cm present), but don't usually get any ovulation sensation IYSWIM.

TIA

could be ovulation. I ovulated twice after early miscarriages. I don't think yuou would ovulate if there was an infection? I'm not sure.

Do you have any bleeding? Have you got a temperature?

EachPeachPearMum · 20/03/2008 14:16

Nope, not at all, which is why I'm a little mystified.

how early was your miscarriage?

If you have no bleeding, no temperature, no discharge or smells, then that's a good sign.

If you are really worried , then maybe you should speak to your GP or midwife.

Thanks- just don't know whats normal, though I appreciate everyone is different!

EachPeach - I remember after my miscarriages being very worried that there was a problem. It was hugely reassuring when my GP told me everything was fine. The chances are is that everything is fine with you, but I think you would feel happier hearing that from a doctor or a midwife.

FWIW I found that I had really bad ovulation pains following my miscarriage. I usually get them a bit but this was much worse than usual and really quite uncomfortable. Apparently it's quite common, although I've no idea why. I wonder if that's what you're feeling. I agree that you should get it checked out if you're not sure though.
