Second D&C and scared of losing uterus

Long story short:
Pregnant with twins - missed miscarriage at 7 weeks. Found out at 11 weeks.
Medical management 22nd Nov - bled out too much and had to go to hospital.
Scans showed retained products so D&C 29th Dec.
Further scans show retained product so waiting on date for next D&C.
Consultant wants to do it himself.
They have said that sometimes retained tissue if it's been there a while can harden and develop vessels and when removed can cause bleeds. If they can't stop the bleeding they would have to remove my womb.

I'm panicking because at my last surgery I had a "significant bleed" so I'm wondering if this has been why I bled.

I'm asking if anyone has had the same problem and everything went fine? I'm so worried. I just want one more baby. I'm so so scared.

@Racbodom sorry to hear about your situation , so sad :( but I have never heard of this , and never heard anyone having to remove a womb because of retained tissues 😵

@Ilovebees all was okay, I didn't end up needing my uterus out. They just had to explain the risks and a d&c procedure can cause a lot of bleeding, especially if the tissue has been there a while. I bled about 200ml in my first procedure. But thank you x
