Is this what I think it is? (TW- graphic pics)

Hi all,

This post is a little different than others on here because I wasn’t trying/shouldn’t have been pregnant… but here we are.

Im on Nuvaring birth control and haven’t messed it up at all. In & out on time, I don’t take it out, and haven’t taken any new meds/meds that should mess with it.

Yet on Wed morning I went to empty my cup and found this clot. I get clots often, but this one was bigger than usual and more solid so I looked at it and was floored to see two tiny eye dots…

This looks incredibly like a 7-ish week fetus to me. Both sides were symmetrical with eye dots, arms, and legs. In one picture I can even make out tiny toe buds. It’s about the size of my thumb nail which seems to be on par for size at 7 weeks, too.

I got a HPT yesterday and took it about an hour after finding this and got nothing. This morning I tried again and got the faintest line ever, but it very well could just be an indent. So for all intents and purposes, I seem to be testing negative or at least very very very low hcg- I’d expect it to show some sort of recognizeable line if I did just miscarry?

Also, on the Nuvaring, I’ve bled every month when it’s the off week. It’s never very much, but still comes like clockwork. So I didn’t miss a period like you’d expect for 7 weeks.

Can anyone weigh in on this and let me know if you’re seeing the same thing I’m seeing? The pics only show one side because the other got the paper wet and paper got stuck onto it, but it was symmetrical. I feel like I may need to be concerned about my birth control now…

Rawwrrandi, I can absolutely see what you mean re the fetus features. Whether it is or not I am far from expert enough to tell.

@Longbarn5 I appreciate your reply, I know no one will be able to say for absolutely certain but at least it makes me feel better to know I'm not just seeing things and making a big deal out of something that actually looks totally normal. So thank you.

You are very welcome. Hope you are ok xx

That is just a clot OP. Do not worry. Pregnancy tissue looks very different (I work in an early pregnancy assessment clinic and see miscarriages every day).
