Prednisolone IVF success stories?

Can someone who has been diagnosed with very active NK cells please share any success stories of having a successful pregnancy on just prednisolone alone?

For ref, my NK cell toxicity without medication is 26% and absolute count is 2.77 (which I’ve been told is high).

I don’t know whether to add intralipids as well - will they actually make a difference / is it worth trying my first IVF cycle with just the prednisolone? My consultant said the intralipids might only potentially make a marginal difference, and I don’t know if they are worth the additional expense and pumping my body with more meds.

Not sure if I’m a success story but I am pregnant (not very far along but further than I’ve ever been) on prednisone :)

one thing I’d warn - prednisone blocks ALL pregnancy symptoms! I’ve had not a scrap of anything so just be prepared for that and try not to read into it. Good luck!

@Highvibebee I happen to be in a similar ish situation to you. Did you end up taking prednisolone and the intralipids? Also, if so, how did the prednisolone make you feel? I'm very cautious about the side effects.

I am also interested in hearing from those who only had pred. I have been advised by my consultant that realky I need intralipids too but I am allergic to peanuts so I cant have them.

@Objectiontime I can confirm my prednisone only baby is now a chubby 3 month old! I also have a nut allergy but was ok on the tablet only… best of luck

Hello! Thought I'd add my input- I never got tested for NK cells but had 3 failed transfers with good embryos. The 4th transfer they put me on Prednisone because they thought 'why not, it can't hurt' and low and behold I am 7 months pregnant :)

I have no idea if Prednisone made the difference but it was the main difference compared to my previous protocols. Good luck!
