Medium Spotting for 7 days today. Hcg is within range and increasing but lower than past pregnancy

Ive been Spotting for 7 days today. Hcg is within range and low for my previous pregnancies but increasing over a 72 hour period. I'm also 40. When I say spotting, im not saturating a pad but there is some coming out throught the day and also when i go to the bathroom, every time and it's red. Sometimes thick, sometimes with little things in it, sometimes small clots but always red and red enough to change the toilet water color. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. It doesn't seem normal but doctors aren't worried. I have another appt tomorrow. I'd be 5 weeks 1 day today. 9/28/23. I have no other symptoms of pregnancy and feel completely normal.

@Ghush83 Sorry you’re having to post here. My experience wasn’t good im sad to say. I had a missed miscarriage at the start of august, I was supposed to be 10 weeks but measured less than 6. A few days after I found out I started spotting over a few days which looked like this and gradually got worse and I eventually lost the pregnancy. I hope things turn out better for you, but I feel the way I was treated (or not as the case may be they weren’t bothered) by the medical professions that as it was still early that it was common and “one of those things”…….. hope it turns out better for you all the best x

I haven’t had experience of this personally but I would be inclined to say that’s more than spotting. Could you ask to be referred to the EPU or pay for a private early scan?
