Hi all,

sadly, following an appointment with a consultant today, at almost 13 weeks pregnant we have decided to have a medical tfmr.

I’ve had the first tablet and I go back in on Friday morning for the rest of the process. I know that it won’t be easy and I’m terrified, but this is the last thing I can do for my baby.

Has anyone else experienced this recently and do you have any advice/support?

im exhausted, devastated and scared - I guess I just need a hand hold.

Hi,
i’m so sorry to read this. I recently had a missed miscarriage at 17 weeks so had to use this process. The process is very difficult mentally but I thought the same, it’s the last thing I could do for my babies. Advice wise, I would say opt for painkillers early, I asked for Morphine too late for it to be effective. Don’t let anyone tell you what to do, it should be all your decisions, listen to your body. The whole process took about 15 hours for me, from the first tablets to the delivery. I unfortunately had to have a D&C afterwards due to the placenta not coming out properly but this was a very easy and quick experience though so nothing to worry about.
Go at your own pace and allow yourself time.
