High BMI and referral to Dr. Shehata

Hi all, I have an appointment with Dr Shehata next week after just having my 2nd miscarriage. I have a high BMI and was refused IVF on the NHS because of this. I managed to get to a BMI of 34 before I started IVF but then put the weight back on again after the first miscarriage. I am wondering if anyone has seen Dr Shehata (on the NHS especially) with a high BMI and if this is something that is mentioned or affects treatment. I was planning on losing weight before seeing him but we've managed to get a cancellation appointment and definitely don't want to miss the opportunity but I am very conscious of my weight having had this held against me in the past.

I saw him on the NHS in December with a high BMI. My BMI was not mentioned or discussed.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. We have a follow-up appointment in September after our initial appointment in June, what might we expect from that appointment?
