I am due my period on Sunday.
Felt like I was pregnant this week so did a test and vv faint positive came up, so checked with 5/6 more cheapies and a clear
blue and faint positives also.
Woke this morning with period like bleeding and cramps.
Did a few tests to see and there's still a vv faint line there.
Is this a chemical pregnancy?
Would you still have some hcg in your urine if your going through a chemical?
Any info much appreciate I feel numb and confused. Thank you

Anyone?
I also wondered if a pregnancy test would pick up some hcg during a chemical pregnancy as I did a test thismorning and it's still there, no darker, but still there.

Sorry couldn’t not stop and post I’m not really familiar with chemicals but could you go and get bloods?

Thanks for your reply.
Yes I have bloods booked for Monday. I just don't think I could be bleeding like a period (2 days today) and still be healthy pregnant even though there's still a faint line when I test 😕

I had a strongish positive pregnancy test on the day I took it, then literally the day after I had my period/chemical pregnancy.

However everyone is different and something else might be the reason, some people bleed through pregnancies and have a healthy term baby . Hope all goes well for Monday

Hi @behappy1736 so sorry you're in this situation, I know how stressful and confusing it is. When I've had chemicals I've had v faint lines like yours and bleeding, and the lines slowly get fainter over the next few days until they are completely gone. I hope it isn't the same for you although I know there is some relief in clarity to the situation, even if it's a negative test. Take it easy and look after yourself x

That's so kind of you to check back in.
I had my bloods yesterday and it confirms hcg and progesterone levels too low to be a viable pregnancy but I have to have repeat bloods done tomorrow morning as dr wants to rule out ectopic because my hormone levels are not high enough for a ongoing viable pregnancy but not as low as he would expect if a chemical pregnancy has happened.
Hate the waiting but hopefully tomorrow evening I will know one way or the other and I can move forward.
Thanks for thinking about me x

I've had this experience and it was a chemical. I also bled like a period in my first pregnancy and lost one baby, but had my beautiful boy survive. I wish you the very best.

I know this is an old post but what were your HCG levels? I’ve been bleeding for 3 days but my lines are getting stronger. HCG baseline was 377 on Friday and waiting on results from one today. xx
