Periods after miscarriage - 6 days of spotting

Hi everyone,

Would be really grateful to hear if anyone has had any similar experiences with periods changing after miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage in September at 11 weeks. I expected my periods to take a while to settle but they still seem all over the place! I had a regular 25 day cycle prior to this and my period never started with spotting

October - heavy 7 days

November - 4 days spotting followed by 6 days bleeding (after 30 day cycle)

December - 3 days spotting, 3 days bleeding (after 30 day cycle)

January - 6 days bleeding (after 26 day cycle)

I thought in January that my periods had returned to normal but I now have had 6 days of spotting in February with no sign that this is turning into a full period and currently cycle day 28.

Any thoughts on this?

I hope you perhaps got some answers elsewhere? But I’ve just come on to search. I had a missed miscarriage in December which meant I had to have the drugs to bring the miscarriage on. Didn’t then have a period for 6 weeks which was then light and barely any cramps. Then got period cramps last week and no bleeding, cramps just came and went and then finally period today (5 weeks after last one) but no cramps, so light and brown blood which means old blood.
I have done some research though and I think what we are experiencing can be quite common!
