Hi, sorry if this has been covered on another thread! I had MMC mid January. I had a lot of bleeding for nearly 3 weeks but have just had a negative pregnancy test. I was advised to wait until had first period before start trying again and wanted to check is this the standard advice or can you start start trying right away. Thanks!

The main reason to wait for a period first is so they can date the new pregnancy if you fall pregnant straight away.

This is also what I was told. So no, you don't have to.

Hi, I am sorry about your loss, i hope you are ok.

Did your doctor give you advice?

I had to have an ERPC for a MMC and so was told to wait until i had one period to try again to ensure lining built up again, however if no procedure i believe you can try straight away.

I wasn't lucky enough to conceive waiting the month and don't think it would have mattered if i tried or not straight after anyhway tbh

If you are emotionally and physically ready you can go for it now, no need to wait I believe, however I am wary of giving people advice tbh as every case is different and ideally you should go with what your doctor says, taking medical advice from strangers on the internet probably isn't the best idea, that said I do exactly the same lol

i hope you are lucky and the next pregnancy is soon and successful for you

I didn't wait and became pregnant immediately. The result is now 12 years old.

Best wishes Buttons.
