Anyone fancy keeping me company through this?

I’m currently miscarrying, started yesterday afternoon really heavy. Have spoken to the ward who say not to be alarmed by the amounts and as long as I feel ok I can stay home. But it’s pretty scary. Anyone had similar? How long did the really heavy bleeding last for you?

Hi OP, sorry you're going through this. I had a <60 minute heavy bleed one evening, then about 4-5 hours very heavy bleeding, passing placent and the sac etc the following night, then basically a long period.

Keep a bottle of water, painkillers and a charged phone to hand, just in case. I felt quite faint with mine. You will get through this, you will be ok. I hope you get your healthy pregnancy next time x

Thank you for replying. It’s horrible isn’t it. I didn’t expect it to be like this. It’s reassuring to hear others have experienced similar. I’ve had a blighted ovum so I’m not entirely sure what to expect to pass

@Onepotatotwopotatothreepotatofour so sorry you are going through this. People's experiences can be very different but in case helpful - I had a blighted ovum miscarriage last month and physically it wasn't too bad. Heavy bleeding was only a couple of days then it started to slow down. The sac came out when I was on the toilet - no pain just slipped out. Take care - a hot water bottle and ibuprofen helped.

Thank you @tulipsunday that is helpful. I’m having lots of clots but haven’t seen anything that’s like a sac I don’t think. Will it be obvious? Eurgh women go through so much don’t they. I’m sorry to hear you also went through this x

How are you doing @Onepotatotwopotatothreepotatofour It may or may not be obvious depending on amounts of clots and tissue. With my first miscarriage there was quite a lot of clots and tissue so the sac wasn't obvious as was a similar size to the tissue. With my second one it was mostly just blood so the sac was obvious.

hi @tulipsunday , sorry to hear you’ve been through this a few times. I think I passed the sac on Saturday night. Things settled after that and it’s just like a heavy period now. I’m feeling pretty wiped out though, slightly dizzy and very tired. When did you get your normal cycle back after your losses?

Glad to hear things have settled a bit. After first miscarriage - period was 24 days later. That was only a short cycle (18 days) before another period so things were a bit unsettled. I did get pregnant soon after (sadly ended in a loss but that was unlucky most people go on to have a successful next pregnancy).

After my recent second miscarriage I had a period 25 days later. Think I may have ovulated day 14 and now in two week wait. 😬 hope you are doing ok x
