Surgical management of miscarriage - unsuccessful

Wondering if anybody else has been in this situation?

After a MMC in December I opted for surgical management. After three weeks I was still testing positive, back today for an ultrasound to see that the pregnancy is still completely intact, with the foetal pole, yolk and sac in place.

Apparently 5% of surgical management procedures are not complete. But to not even get the pregnancy itself seems just unbelievable. Surely the surgeon would know?

That have sent "tissue" for testing (3rd concurrent miscarriage) but I don't even know what they've sent, or how they'll get any answers, given the baby is still inside me.

I'm so sorry that's so awful :( I don't have any advice just didn't want to read and not reply

I don't think the foetal sac itself has to be retained for it to impact HCG levels?

Really sorry this has happened to you, hope you get answers and resolution soon.
