Evening,

I had a miscarriage in October. I don’t know how far along I was because we weren’t actively TTC. My guess is about 4-5 weeks . I found out because I got a faint positive test as I was miscarrying. I tested because I knew something wasn’t right, started bleeding 5 days before period was due with painful & heavy cramping and I ended up with heavy bleeding for 9 days. It’s been so difficult both physically & emotionally.

Im at the tail end of my 2nd post MC period and this weird thing just came out mixed with brown/red clot type blood. It is solid, but it doesn’t feel hard if that makes sense. Almost like tissue type texture (so sorry for TMI I just really need help & support with this)

Does anyone know what this could be? The MC and my periods since have been horrible and the cramps have been awful.

Thank you any advice xx

Also to add, both periods since have had a lot of brown stringy and clot type bleeding along with heavy cramping, which I understand is my uterus clearing itself out and the doctor told me to expect heavy and unusual periods but it’s just this strange thing that’s causing me concern

I wouldn’t be concerned about that in particular, but I would want to be reassured that this lump, coupled with the ongoing pains and unusual clots aren’t signs of retained products which need dealing with

Probably a decidual cast, very normal and may be unrelated to mc.

Thanks for your reply, I don’t think it’s a decidual cast though as that’s when the lining is shed all in one go

Yeah I thought the same, I’m going to contact the doctor to see what they say
