Did I have a late miscarriage when I was 16?

I started bleeding heavily during sex, I remember a 12" vinyl sized pool of blood on the floor and a trail of blood up the stairs, in the bathroom, a lot of blood in and on the loo, and a trail of blood down the stairs.
I passed out around this point. Woke up in hospital and remember having overwhelming urge to poo. A nurse brought a commode and as I pushed everything started going black and I was dizzy, it was like tunnel vision and I remember when the only sight I had left was a pinprick I fell forwards and lost consciousness again.
I came around being put back into bed and another nurse hurried in and quickly removed the bowl of the commode.
I distinctly remember thinking that there was no smell of poo and something about the way the nurse whisked the commode away felt odd.
I was put in a taxi still bleeding and covered in blood. I got in the shower at home and had to pull clots off my thighs and pull out stringy tissue that was hanging out of my vagina. I kept having severe dizzy spells during this
I wasn't given a diagnosis, medication or a referral. I didn't know what had happened and they didn't tell me, or the man I was with, anything other than "the bleeding will stop soon so you can go home".

100% feels like a miscarriage to me... But I've miscarried several times since and once at 3/4 months what I passed was the size of a golf ball I think... And it just passed painlessly - although I did feel it.

Could there be any other explanation?? But why the losing consciousness.. and how could I have been so far along that I had to push, without realising or having a bump?

Any advice or info really appreciated xx

You can request your medical records.

How long ago did this happen?.was anyone else with you at the hospital? Seems very odd just dumping a young bleeding girl in a taxi?

I can't believe that no one spoke to you about what was happening, this is so wrong. It sounds like you did have a miscarriage and I would definitely request medical records from your GP. You can also download the NHS app and get your GP to grant you access to everything through that. I did this recently and there are things on there from around 20 years ago when I was 14.
