Can anyone tell me symptoms of d&c recovery?

I had a d&c Friday, yesterday no bleeding at all and today I’ve had some cramps and orangey watery bleeding.
just wondering what others experienced in their recovery as I’ve forgotten what nurses said to me as I was still half asleep when I left hospital 🥴

So sorry to hear this Flowers

Mine was a few years ago but it doesn't sound too unusual to me. I bled on and off for a couple of weeks with some cramping. My main memory is of a sudden flooding and clotting when it was seemingly over which was more emotionally than physically painful.

Make sure you're getting lots of rest, hopefully you have someone to look after you. If you're worried at all call the unit you had it done in to make sure they're happy with your recovery.

I've had 2 this year (MMC's) and actually recovered fine. An afternoon on the sofa after the (morning) op, and then up and about as usual the next day. Bleeding on and off for about 2 weeks, ovulated later than usual for the next couple of months.

The emotional part is harder. I struggled to be by myself for a month or 2 after each one; would just spend the whole time crying. It has got easier, but also am struggling to conceive again which is bringing it back a bit.

Be kind to yourself, is the only advice I can offer. X

I had brown and pinky patchy bleeding for approx 2 weeks, one day where I had a heavier period like bleed (had been v active that day). Minimal pain. Took me 9 weeks to test negative for HCG (nothing retained, just body holding on to hormones).

They say to watch out for unpredictable increases in bleeding, any smelly or unusual discharge, any infection symptoms eg temperature, fluey symptoms. I would call for orange discharge, just as a sanity check.

OP, I had similar to you - light bleeding for only 1-2 days, then had some watery discharge for a couple of days. Nothing since then (until my period). That was about a month ago, and I haven't had any physical symptoms since then. As a PP said, it doesn't hurt to give your EPU a call if you are concerned about the watery discharge, but I should not think it's anything to worry about. Hope you have a swift recovery.
