Im having a medical miscarriage after finding no heartbeat at our 12 week scan.
2 days after i had the tablets iv started having big clots and am having bad cramps.
(a bit graphic) but iv also had a golf ball size clot stuck in my vagina since this morning, other clots are just passing around this and its just not budging!
iv read that it may be the placenta ? But just wanted some other advice on if i need to go to a&e?
how much clotting is too much? The nurses weren't very clear on how much is too much?
thanks

Bumping for you, no advice but I'm so sorry.

Can you give the department who are treating you a call?

You could try phoning Ante Natal department or EPU? Hope you’re ok

Retired gynaecologist here. Yes you need to be seen, some of the pregnancy tissue could be stuck part way out of your cervix. When this happens it will stop the womb clamping down and so the bleeding doesn’t stop, it also increases the risk of infection.
Do you have a contact number for the clinic that is treating you, give then
a call. U

Thankyou!
iv called my gynae department who treated me previously, they advised to either go to a&e or wait until tomorrow and the gynae emergency will see me.
i dont know what to do😫 im worried about an a&e doctor ‘yanking’ it out

Hope you’re okay, and managed to get sorted. This happened to me 5 weeks ago, I had a missed MC at my 12 week ultrasound I went home and ended up heavily bleeding. I went to A&E and part of the pregnancy tissue was stuck on my cervix, they got it out (not very nice but necessary - the staff were amazing) then I had some medicine and the bleeding slowed down massively. Had an ultrasound the next day and all was well, everything had gone. I had light bleeding for 10 more days then ovulated exactly 2 weeks later. Crazy how quickly the body goes back to normal. please don’t worry about having a procedure - sending lots of love and hugs xx
