I had misoprostol on 11th August for a missed miscarriage. Passed everything out that evening and the bleeding slowed down in the following days, it went to more of a period type bleeding. I also had no pain after the first day.
Then I'd say around 5 or so days ago the bleeding turned to more of a dark red/browny colour. Which was fine, but it started to smell. I can't really describe the smell other than saying it was close to the smell of dried poo (sorry). Now yesterday evening I had abdominal pain similar to period pain (not excruciating or anything, just annoying and niggly). It went away later last night and it's back this morning. And when I've gone to the toilet this morning, my bleeding has gone back to red again.
I don't have any fever, I feel well in myself. But is it possible it could be infected? Why has the bleeding suddenly turned red again, is that normal? It can't be a period surely because it's not even been two weeks since my miscarriage.
I'm probably going to ring the EPU this morning when I get chance but just wondering if anyone had any ideas or similar experiences?
