Is this the sac I've just passed? *TW gory photo*

Had misoprostol at around 2:45pm today, at hosp. Bleeding started just under two hours later and hadn't been too heavy.

However a few mins ago something has just come out while I was sat on the toilet. It just about fell onto tissue so I picked it up and had a look 🙈 Was a small/not too large clot of blood type thing (similar to in photo but smaller) with a squishy white/pale area inside, probably a cm or two long. I assumed that was it.

Is this in fact it? Or are these clots? What's the pale stuff? 😩 Is this normal to be coming out of me? Sorry I'm just slightly scared seeing it, not used to it 😩

Turns out it was the sac! Can see baby inside it's fluid :( Put it in a little pot for now. Is there anything I can do with it? :( I've heard people have had them genetically tested to check if that was what went wrong but I wasn't offered that as an option. I can't flush it :(

Can you 'plant' it? Grow a tree or flowers on the site as a remembrance? I've heard of people doing this with their placenta but it night be a nice way to honour your baby.

So sorry for your loss OP

Sorry for your loss @rach971. @OneStepOneStumble’s idea is lovely

sarahc336 · 11/08/2022 19:52

You'll probably find once you've passed the baby the blood flow eases up a bit and any pain may reduce xx

@OneStepOneStumble Thank you so much, I think that's what I'll do ♥️

EPU are closed now until 9am. I could try phoning in the morning and ask if they'd test it, but I honestly don't think they would. And only other option is cremation with other little ones, and I don't want that. I'd rather keep it with me if it can't be tested. It looks perfect as well, everything looks just as it should for that gestation :( That's not to say of course something wasn't wrong, just cruel :(

I’m so sorry for your loss. The idea of planting a tree or plant is a beautiful suggestion.

God, this brought back memories for me. I’m sorry you’re going through this. ❤️😢

BrutusMcDogface · 11/08/2022 20:38

I think it depends on how many miscarriages you’ve had as to whether they’ll test or not. I think keep the little bean with you. Plant a tree in a pot so that you can take it with you if you move.

Oh OP, I'm so sorry for your loss.

How very very sad.
