Are you more likely to miscarry at the same stage you miscarried before?

I’ve tried looking into this online and I’m not sure whether I’m not wording it right as I’m not really finding anything. If you’ve had a miscarriage are you more likely to miscarry at the same gestation again? I’m pregnant after a later loss (after 12 weeks) and I’m struggling to relax after the scan because at this point last time everything was fine too. But I have had a positive 12 week scan which is still something regardless.

Well it really depends whether you know if there was a reason for your previous loss? If for example it was due to weak cervix, then it's possible it will happen again at a similar gestation. But if it was because there was an issue with the embryo's genetics, or you got an infection, then it's less likely to recur. Often we don't know a reason though, and it's a case of just trying to stay as chilled as you can manage and get through it. Pregnancy is tough anyway, but prior loss definitely makes it harder.
