Can you swim in sea during a miscarriage?

Just that really. I miscarried at 6+3 on Thursday, passed the baby and pregnancy tissue that day (after seeing heartbeat on Wednesday 💔). I'm still bleeding but sonographer who confirmed all pregnancy tissue had passed said it's just my womb lining needing to shed now. I don't have much pain. I'd like to swim in the sea (Norfolk). Do you think ok?

Sorry for your loss. I’ve always been told no tampons for my miscarriage bleeding and also I wouldn’t risk going in the sea due to infection for you at the moment x

@Skylark1990 I am so sorry for your loss 😞
The hospital recently told me not to use tampons. While I’m not sure about the sea, I personally wouldn’t risk it 😞

I wouldn't, OP. I think there's a real risk of a nasty infection. I'm sorry for your loss.

No, there’s a risk of infection. Not worth risking it.

I’m miscarrying and been told not to swim due to risk of infection. I do still have pregnancy tissue though.

Maybe have a bath? Or paddle in the sea if you feel you want to be outside x

Thanks all x
