Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

BBT after early pregnancy loss and next ovulation

Hi, we only have begun our journey of trying to conceive. Our 3rd month trying resulted in early pregnancy loss at nearly 5weeks. This week would usually be my ovulation week if following my usual cycle however my BBT is all over the place and still quite high for being so close to ovulation (I haven’t had my clear low period) however my cervical mucus is of the consistency I’d expect on the lead up to ovulation. Could I be about to ovulate even if my temperatures are all over the shop? Does my temperature have to follow the pattern for a definite ovulation. I’m trying to keep relaxed about it but too scared to do ovulation tests and get disappointed if I’m not (I guess it could take a while until my body is happy again?)

Thanks

So sorry for your loss. How long has it been since the loss?
I had a missed miscarriage at 18 weeks (baby measured at 16 weeks) a month ago. Once my bleeding stopped I started tracking bbt but like you my temps were everywhere up and down. I also did ovulation tests each day but they were always negative and I never had a peak. I also was tracking my cervical mucus but I didn't have anything that indicated ovulation. Now on my 4th week after the MC and my period has come, so I'm hoping I will ovulate soon.

As I have been obsessing with TTC since the MC I signed up to the Premom app, I have been finding it very comforting reading other womens posts who have experienced similar and are on the same journey of ttc. They do share a lot of charts from their own bbt tracking that I find helpful with trying to understand my own.

The only definite way to tell for sure would be by doing the ovulation tests. I do hope all works out well for you xx

Thanks so much for your reply, sorry to hear of your loss. It was only a few weeks ago as it was such an early loss it was around the time of when my natural period would have been - I was just so In tune with my body and had done early pregnancy tests I already knew I was pregnant. So normally this week would have been my ovulating week - but I guess it could be very early days and the loss may take time to adjust? Very new to all of this but reading similar messages as you say on things like this does help and make me understand things better.

i did an ovulation test last night and it did seem it could be positive - however just confuses me as my bbt is still higher than usual at this time of a cycle - could hormones from the loss cause this maybe? Can you get false positive ovulation strips xx
