i miscarried 4 weeks ago (i was 11 weeks but baby's heart stopped at 8 weeks)
i have two children so i had to jump back into mum mode asap. i didn't test myself two weeks later for a negative test because my partner and i were not even going to try again until we got married ... so i though il just do it when i got around to it
i didn't bleed much after passing all the product so, i stopped bleeding within a week of miscarrying.
long story short, 11 days after my miscarriage, my partner and i did slip up and have sex (however we did the withdrawal method)
i noticed that i ovulated about a day or two after having sex but didn't think much of it.
a week later (19 days after miscarriage) i started feeling exhausted, faint, and a little sick so i took a test and it read a very faint positive.
i thought perhaps there was still some HCG left in my system. However the symptoms got worse and i started getting cramps
they did an internal scan and told me that some pregnancy tissue from the miscarriage was on my uterine wall and thats why i have the positive test..
she told me it was impossible to get pregnant again because my cycle had not started up again.
she said that left over tissue will come out on my next period and then i could get pregnant again.
Because the abdominal pain continued i ended up back in hospital, the scanned m again and confirmed that i had actually ovulated around day 12. but they insisted that i am not pregnant. i am now a few days past what was supposed to be my first period after the miscarriage and i am still getting the lower belly cramps, (the kind you get early pregnancy) they tested my urine and it was a negative
i am so confused. has anyone else gone through this ?
