Hello ladies I'm a bit concerned my period was late for 3 weeks and yesterday I started bleeding. My cramps we're bad to the point I had to take pill for that ( Pamprin) but It didn't do much. After 6 hrs I took more since cramps where still there and every time I walked I felt I was bleeding a lot. Then I went to the restroom so changed and I saw a big cloth of blood which it had never happened to me. After this my period and cramps got better I can say it's "normal" now. Have any of you guys experienced something similar? Is it possible this could be a miscarriage? This is TMI but I did took a plan b about a month ago. Please shared your experiences if this is normal or if I should be more concern.

My last period was very similar, hideous cramps and huge clots but not late and I’ve been sterilised, have you recently had your covid vaccine? My vaccine was a few months ago but that’s what I put it down to as my periods have been progressively worse each month. I hope you’re ok either way op. X

I thinks it likely. Are you okay?

I had clots like that when I had very heavy periods, they caused immense pains whilst passing, but instant relief after, usually with a gush of blood because its been a bit of a blockage, tmi, but thats where we are.

Mine was due to hormone imbalances and caused anemia until I was finally on the right amount of hormones.

Did you know you were pregnant? If so, As awful as this sounds, and only if you feel ok to do this, I would take a pregnancy test.

If you know you are pregnant I would call an early pregnancy unit and they may ask you to take this with you.

I hope you are ok whatever happens x

That’s good. Glad you are feeling better. If you start bleeding again then would probably be worth going to your GP who might refer you for a scan.

No I did not I kinda suspected but since I was having cramps I thought it was my period then I started spotting then all this happened. But I'll have to call my OBGYN to see what they suggest. But I'm doing much better now

I had a very early miscarriage in March this year and it looked exactly like this, same sort of clot but maybe a bit darker.

I'm sorry to hear that. And yes I've been reading about this and it could be different blood colors . Did you had to do anything with your doc or take any medication after your loss?

No. I didn't do anything different or go to the doctors. In fact, I only know it was an early miscarriage because I been getting positive tests on a first response that were quite light so I tested for a couple of days and the lines were getting lighter then I had the clot come out a couple of days after my period was due and then a normal period. Funnily enough, I just carried on like it was a normal period then got pregnant the very next month, baby is due in 5 weeks. I did have the first COVID jab just before finding out I was pregnant ( pre miscarriage) felt really awful for a couple of days then couple of days later had the positive test then couple of days after that, the early miscarriage. I wouldn't worry and would just carry on as normal as long as you aren't in too much pain.

My clots looked exactly like that - I agree with other poster looks like a decidual cast.
