Delayed missed miscarriage and had to have the d&c

I was trying to fall for a baby for over a year I recently done a test in July and found out I was pregnant went for a scan on Friday the 3rd and found out I had a delayed miscarriage I am heart broken I had to have the d&c on Tuesday the 7th. I would just like to know how long after has people tried to conceive after this?

Sorry to hear this has happened to you. After my missed miscarriage and d&c my tests were still showing positive for around 4 weeks which was very difficult. I did however fall pregnant 6 weeks after the d&c and I'm due at the end of the year. Wishing you all the best

My gp advised me to wait one cycle after ERPC, then try again ( I used an ovulation predictor kit). Fell pregnant the month after.

My GP was part of the obstetrics team at Chelsea and Westminster hospital in London. In some other places, they advise you to wait 6 months- but he said this is old-fashioned advice.

Going back to 2012 I had a d&c in the November and was pregnant by end of January. Think I had one period then got pregnant. Daughter was born October 2013, healthy baby, uncomplicated pregnancy & she's nearly 8! Hope you recover well, it's an awful time but it will pass x

Most people say ideally wait till you have a period, then start trying. I was unusual: it took 9 cycles to conceive, but all went well with that pregnancy. Looking back, I had quite a bit of bleeding after the procedure and didn't really take care of myself: I think I was probably very anaemic. After two or three months I started taking spatone and felt much better. Everyone I know who has had the procedure has gone on to conceive again, its a hard process to go through physically and mentally so do give yourself a recovery period, as much as the impulse is to try again immediately (and there's no reason not to) I think do also focus on self-care as much as possible.

My Doctor told me that following miscarriage a period is your bodies way of letting you know it’s ready to try again. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I found that quite comforting, my period arrived 10weeks after D&C

I am sorry for your loss
I had surgical intervention after a mmc at 12 weeks
Then I got pg by accident (no idea it was possible) about a week later so I was more or less pg for a year! My period hadn’t returned at that point either
Physically I was fine but it was very hard mentally to be honest.
However, that baby is now 16 and totally awesome. I have a 12 year old too

I had miscarriage surgery on feb 18th, first day of next period following that was 22nd March, I’m now 25 weeks pregnant from the ovulation that came after that period. And I’m 39.

You can call pregnant after every ovulation so the short answer is yes

If I recently had a delayed missed miscarriage and had to have the d&c me and my partner has had sex and there is an unusual smell does this mean I have an infection

I was advised to contact EPU/my GP if there was an unusual smell or discharge after my erpc - I would get checked out just in case. Hope you're ok op

I've done a ovulation test for about 5days and all of them have shown a faint test line and a dark control line what does this mean? It's my first time doing them

Hello, I am so sorry you had the dreaded D&C... I had mine 9 days ago and still bleeding on snd off... how long did you bleed for?

I’ve only just seen this I’m so sorry it a horrible thing to go through I am still recovering, I was bleeding for about 7days I can on my period a month after I had the d&c and I’ve just recently had my second period I am so sorry for you💔
