Do I need to go to the doctor?

Hi all

I found out I was pregnant a few days ago (I have an 8 month old who was very premature so she's really more like a 6 month old developmentally and so this pregnancy was not planned!). Anyway, I took 2 sainsburys tests and a clearblue digital test which were all positive when I would have been about 4+2 weeks. I would have been 5 weeks today but have had bleeding and pain since last night. It's not overly heavy but is clotty and the pain is fairly constant. I took another test this evening and it's negative already. Do I still need to go to the hospital for a scan if I have a negative test already?

I've had an early miscarriage before which required an ERPC as I bled heavily for several weeks and my tests kept getting more and more positive but not sure whether I need to do anything with this one?

@BabyT20, so sorry to hear what you're going through, especially with such a small child to care for. My advice would be to call the doctor, or your EPU. I think you should have any bleeding with pain checked out, just to be on the safe side. If you've had an early miscarriage before, and are having another one, it's also good idea for them to note this in your records so they can do tests in the horrible event it ever happens again. Good luck to you. I do hope you feel better soon. Flowers

How are you today @BabyT20? I hope you're doing okay.

I would say it's most likely a chemical pregnancy especially if you're already getting negative tests. Probably not necessary to call your doctor but if it was me I'd probably want a record of it, especially because you've had a mc before.
