lost my baby at weekend at 9 weeks was intact neck looked very long

Hi @kels1985 I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm not a pregnancy expert, so hopefully someone who is can come along soon.

I think it's very common for us to try to find explanations or reasons when something goes wrong or when we lose someone we love, but don't torture yourself trying to figure out reasons at this stage - give yourself time to heal and grieve.

Your baby's neck may have looked longer than expected for many reasons, so I honestly would try not to get too preoccupied with this. It could just be how your baby was at that stage of development (babies can develop at different rates and anatomy can "even out" during development, also we don't often see babies at this stage of development other than in pictures, which can look very different in the real world).
